Microblading
IN BRISTOL
Microblading is one of the most popular and well-known eyebrow treatments in the semi-permanent makeup world and has always been one of our most popular methods here at Ella May PMA.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of tattooing but is done with a blade. The hand tool tattooing method is a manual way of implanting pigment, creating fine hairstrokes.
This is done using a manual hand piece to implant fine hair strokes for a very natural effect. This effect is lovely for those with fine natural hairs or with areas of spareness.
There are several forms of microblading that can be achieved, depending on if you want a very natural look or with added shading to create extra depth.
Who is Microblading Suitable for?
Microblading is suitable for most people with normal to dry skin.
However it is NOT recommended for mature or very delicate skin, skin that is textured from wrinkles or extremely large pores, skin that is very pale, or skin which have a very rosy/red tone i.e. extreme rosacea sufferers. It is also not suitable for anyone with extremely oily skin or a very oily t-zone.
Microblading in Bristol by Ella May PMA
Ella started her career in microblading with extensive training in Harley Street, London, with a top technician in the semi-permanent makeup industry.
If you choose microblading at Ella May PMA, the technique you have ultimately will be decided by Ella with you on the day of the appointment. This will be based on your skin tone and type as she knows what results will be best for you or if you aren’t sure if you’re skin falls under any of the above concerns.
If you have seen pictures of microblading done on our social media pages, please bare in mind that most of those pictures will have been taken within about 10 minutes of being done so colours can/will fade by up to 25% in the first few weeks. The lines will soften making them appear even more natural looking.
After the treatment, we advise to keep your brows completely dry for up to 48 hours if possible and to avoid touching them as much as possible. Any redness usually subsides within about 30 mins.
How Much Does Microblading Cost in BRISTOL?
At Ella May PMA, microblading treatment costs a total of £325 as a standalone treatment. You can also book our brows & lip combo for just £520 (instead of £650 for both treatments, saving £130 when you book the package). This treatment includes one top up 6-12 weeks later.
How long your desired results will last is all depending on your lifestyle and body. There’s no guarantee of how long it will last as every person differs but we estimate on average around 12-18 months.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?
Microblading will last, on average, around 12-18 months, and your end result will naturally fade over time.
Each person’s colour retention within the skin will vary, and exactly how long microblading lasts depends on factors such as your skincare routine and your skin type. For example, people who tan well fade faster as their skin will resurface faster. We can’t guarantee how long your desired result will last, but top-ups are available to keep your eyebrows looking their best.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING TAKE TO HEAL?
The full healing time will be around 4-6 weeks and this will depend on your body’s regeneration rate and your age. You should expect your new eyebrows to go through several phases during healing. The pigment can appear darker immediately after the procedure and the colour can take a few days to reach the intended shade.
